I know a guy that has a Maxtron 456? Anyway he uses it with an XRW Edge gun and feeder, and also an S22 feeder. He builds these(www.saddlestackers.com) using A Dynasty 300DX and the Maxtron. 99 % of what he does is aluminum. I think that this machine also had pulse available and was maybe a precurser to the Invision. I think that 700.00 is a great deal if everything works. You can download the manual from Millers home site.Try it out with the feeder and let us know how it works out.

    Maxtron 300

Hey guys this is my first post. Just recently I bought a serial number KA maxtron 300. I didn't know much about this welder to start with and now I'm learning. Along with it came a newer 24V 4X4 wire feeder. I payed 700 for the set.
1 What is the age on my welder and what are the codes for telling it?
2 Is the Maxtron designed for arc welding or just mig?
3 It doesn't seem to arc weld good at all. Is this normal?
4 Is thsi a good deal or not?
    Thanks
Working...
