I have been tig welding for a couple of years now and have never asked or was told what to set the high freq dial on my syncrowave 250?I have never messed with it and since it's under the front cover I forget it's even there.

If it's working fine and not interfering with anything else around the shop, don't mess with it. Most people set it around 50%. It is set so that the arc starts fine and is stable under AC conditions. Unless you are using an extremely long torch, run the HF as low as you can without adversely affecting the arc.

I used to run around 40% with good starts. However, I saw some lack of arc stability and thought better of 50% or a little higher. As Andy said if you're not experiencing HF bleed problems, then don't worry. It looks like the machine is working fine from your pics.
