I went in to my local dealer today to purchase a 350P and a XR edge push pull gun. My dealer said that to add an XR gun I would need to buy the whole push pull conversion kit (which is about 1/2 the cost of the welder!) even though the 350P is advertised as being already set up to accept the XR guns and he didn't think I needed all of the kit. Does that make sense to anyone using that set up? It sounded like I'd be buying a bunch of stuff I didn't really need with the 350P and the dealer seemed pretty unsure of what to order. Made me nervous enough that I held off on the pruchase until I can make sure I'm getting the right stuff. Specifically he said I'd need the 350P + the XR (Miller part #181 535). Any help would be appreciated.

your dealer is WRONG.
The edge gun will plug right into the 350P and the control cable will plug into the 10 pin receptacle on the front of the machine.
It will run fine.
?? Why the edge gun? Are you going to be at high amps? The reason I ask is that the Miller Python gun is smaller and easier to use but has a lighter amp rating.

Python?
HAWK,
If a Python gun will plug right into a MM350P, will it also plug into a MM251? The main reason I backed out of the notion of adding a python gun to my kit was because I'd heard that I had to add the MM251 push-pull module on the side. Together, they add up to nearly 2K.
Thanks,
AlexBe cool,
