a while ago someone gave me an assortment of rods, kinda old. when i was trying my 200 out i was looking for the thinest rod i had. i just grabed a rod out of this bundle, it looked like a steel rod. i ran a bead with it, it was bronze ! so i assume this was a brazing rod. the bead looked fine. how strong it would be, i don't know, but it looked good. i'll get a pic of it later.

here is the blurry pic. you can see that the end of the bead is bronze. but because of the blurry, you can't well see that the rest of the bead is a fixed colors of bronze/copper, with red and blue, just like the colors of the HAZ. looks kinda

i'm getting better at the dimes thing.

i'm suprised you didn't get any more replies to this

          way cool

thank's i'll bet that would look realy cool if ya hit it with a wire brush. maybee i can fuse the steel together and then run the bead over that and get strangth and cool look.
man i cant wait to get my TIG, it looks like it will open up some realy cool art projects for me.

could be that most people dont do this for art so i think they would stick to the standerd processes.
          thanks for the help
