  • O/A "A" and "B" Fittings Question

Do these sizes of fittings pertain to just the hose-torch end or also to the hose-tank end?

  • #2
An "A" fitting is an "A" fitting, and a "B" a "B", no matter which end it is on. The fittings are the same on a regulator or a torch. Both "A" and "B" are standard CGA fittings. You will find regulators and torches with one or the other on them. You can also buy a pre-made hose with "A" fittings on one end and "B" fittings on the other. It is not un-common to see "B" regulators and an "A" torch.
