Are you going to have to pay shipping?

no shipping from OIC is always free on the big ticket items and there acceserys. he even shipped me a standoff roller for my plasma cutter free a month after i got the plasma cutter because i got the plasma from him. i have been verry happy with the service from him and feel fine about using him for the dynasty purchase.
i just like to suport my local economy and better relations with my welding shop as they have been great about hellping me with anything i need and taking the time toexplain somthing if need be for me . i always feel like i'm there most important customer , even though i dont buy much there just gas and some acceserys. it is unforchanet that the $$$ diferance it so much i would be fine with an extra $100-$150 but just cant on my income as a hobiest justify an extra $700 just to keep up relations he is aware i got my MIG,Plasma cutter , and big window on line and still treats me great . told me he would help teach me TIG after store hr's if i get my welder there that would be great but i still cant get past the $700.

it is a bummer but when you are broke youre broke and have to do what you can

i have a 5year old son i have to think about collage for and i think that is a better place to put the $700, keeping up relations in the family must come first. i figure at my income (retired) i need to start a collage fund now. and hope he is willing and able to use it

always watch out for yourself. Its unfortunate that one dealer has to ruine it for you. My ABCO here is open 6 days a week 8-12 on saturday and if he is going to be closed on saturday he puts a note up weeks in advance, and stays open till 8 on friday. every time im in there, Theres noone else there. He takes great care of me and often times he'll give me a break and sell me partial packages of specialty rod.(these guys dont like to open 10 pound packs just to sell you a pound). if the difference is 700 dollars you should tell your dealer this and ask him what he would do. If you confront him with the discounted price odds are **** cave and sell it to you. Are you going to have to pay shipping?

i don't think he really cares. see, this isn't a small town, customers come & go, and there are plenty to go around. customer loyalty matters, but not for a hobby guy like me. otherwise they all would be open on saturdays, but only one is, half the year. and that one short changed me on a bottle for someone else, and then 3 weeks later shortchanged me on my refill(though i didn't pay full price), even after i told him about the last shortchange.

for the most part, if i stay loyal to someone/someplace, i DON'T stay loyal to MYSELF.
    (wife the exception)
which do you think matters most to me.

any local place here would have to beat the price by 9% just for me to break even , tax.

my machine is said to be on the way

Dont have a pic but i can tell you that it looks like most 17 series torches ive seen, not that im an expert or anything. The torch came with all you need to weld as long as you are using the 3/32 tungsten. And then, if anything breaks you need replacements.

I agree with dyn88, My dealer usually will beat an internet price. I just got a quote today for a whole lot of expensive stuff.(Invision, 70 feeder, XR feeder and Gun, Elite hood, Maxstar 150, and 2 TIG torches). He beat the internet by about 5%.

    dealer price

my local dealer is about $500.00 over the e-bay price then you add tax. and i'm looking at a price differance of over $700.00 thats without the contractors kit, just the welder
i'm going to have to go with e-bay i think i'll try my dealer again when i have cash in hand and see if anything changes. ( maybee ill catch him on his rent day )

Go to your local weld house and tell them the lowest price you can purchase the machine for. Ask them if they can match it, if not tell them you will purchase it else where. Odds are they will offer it to youi at a slightly higher price than online, but building a relationship with your weld house is priceless. Plus they will keep your serial # on record for warantee purposes and in case of theft. Lastly where will you bring the machine if it were to break.

well, i TRIED to order the machine over the phone today. no luck, cyberweld only gat me a "enter your # now" and thats it, no person .
piss poor service if you ask me. i'm wondering what to do next. maybe IOC. great service there, but more $.

    dumbass
thats the torch i ordered today, same #. can you post a pic of it !?!
i didn't get anything else, the price "seemed" kinda high, and i don't yet know what all i will use/need.

I got the WP-17-25Pro with 25 footer cord and superflex type cable. Call and talk with someone, they are helpful. They have more than what is on the website for sale like ground cable and little stuff. I dont know what welding you wil be doing but you will need an accessory kit, i ended up just getting the AK-2Pro because it had extra gas nozzles and stuff which i may end up using and would hate to ruin the weekend project over. But if you know you are only going to be using a 3/32 electrode you can get by much cheaper by picking out single spare parts. Im real happy with arc zones service and the guy i talked to was able to get me the parts list for both accessory kits in about 5 seconds. I also got some 1.5 and 2% lathanated to see the difference for myself although in the future i will just go to my local welding supply for that. The 200 amp work clamp they sent was a lenco and the flowmeter i got was with the gas line and a smith(A-H2051-GH). Also the 200dx that i recieved came with the dinse torch connector and 1 for a ground cable and 1 for the stick electrode cable. I wouldve gone with cyberweld but i wanted to avoid sales tax in NJ so i went with Bob at B+R. I could only beat cyberwelds price by 6 bucks so i wouldnt worry. After looking at the quality of the stuff i recieved im not even pissed off that i barely saved money over the contractors kit. I think it was worth it to get to pick out my own accessories even if the cord on the weldcraft is red.

Thats a real good price on that Weldcraft torch. CK price is about the same. I bought my Miller XLIX hood from Cyberweld about 2 years ago. I had some flash problems on low amp TIG a year ago . I sent the hood back to Cyberweld, they sent it to Miller and I ended up with the upgraded Lens assembly. Havent had a problem since.

i don;t think i need the valve option. when would this option be usefull ? i think the WP-17-25Pro would be good ?

the valve on the torch is for a welder without a cilinoid to controle the gas you dont need it

this looks a lot like a contractors kit without foot or case for a lot less
Buy discount welding supplies from premium brands like Miller®, Hobart®, Lincoln Electric®, ESAB®, Smith®, Victor®, Harris®, Optrel®, Black Stallion® and John Tillman® from the mouse with over 85 years of welding experience.

    .

this isent bad but dosent have the superflrex

hmmm hard to choose almost makes it werth geting the kit to start and then custumizing as you go later
