The best one i ever had was a Makita, it's cut was with in reason and it's motor ran noticeably smooooother than my Black and Crapper does.

The milwaukee has a cast iron base. As soon as my Dewalt dies that's the one I'll be getting. I am not a fan of Dewalt or the parent company Black and Decker. My brother owns his own construction company, he has all kinds of broken Dewalt drills, circular saws, reciprocating saws, even a jobsite radio. The Milwaukee, and Hitachi stuff he has now is alot nicer and much more durable. The chop saw is the only yellow tool I have. Everything else is Milwaukee, except for 2 Metabo 4.5 inch grinders and a Makita 7 inch grinder. I got the chop saw for 50.00 and the 7 inch Makita for 5.00 at a garage sale.
The Ridgid is now one of Home Depots brands. They do not make their own tools anymore. The 4.5 inch grinder is made by Metabo but does not carry the same warranty. I guss its not a bad brand for the price though.

I've never had a bad Delta tool. I've still got a couple from the Rockwell - Delta days. They last. Check out the Ridgid chopsaw. I like its "D" handle in the horizontal plane.
