I think that everyone on the board is sad that you are not taking up welding because it is their passion. I am sure that you understand that if someone wanted to take up photography you would really encourage them as well.

I hope that it works out for you.

I also have to put in my two cents on the picture taking although I am sure that you have heard of this already.

I race mountain bikes and at each event there is at least one photographer that takes digital photos of every rider. The photographers are usually in a 'technical' spot so that the shots look good.

After the race, the photographer emails all the racers and gives them poor quality pictures to preview. I have even purchased a couple and that is not something that I would normally do. They were good and will bring back memories I am sure.

Not only are there photographers at races but every year a group of us go to MOAB in Utah just for fun riding and the same sort of thing happens.

Best of luck!! (Maybe you can take some cool pictures of some of us welding? - I sure would purchase one of those!!!)
