How thick do you want to go on Al/steel? How often will you be welding aluminum or steel? Is power consumption a factor? Is portibility?

portability isnt much of a factor but the thickness we mainly be below quarter inch but not below 18 guage, and power consumption shouldnt be a problem, one more choice of weldor would be the lincoln invertec v-205t i think thats what its call anyways...

        Dynasty

I would go for the 200DX. The Dynasty has the Pulser and sequencer, more adjustable Frequency and balance. I had the Lincoln for 1 month and got rid of it. It was not real user friendly and the Dynast is just a nicer machine I think. Plus the Lincoln is made in Italy for Lincoln. The Dynasty is made in the US.
