    df5152,

The Dynasty 300 will not operate on 120VAC 1 phase input power and its about 80 lbs so portability and power availability over the road is more limited than with the Dynasty 200.

The 300DX is a great machine!!! I have no complaints and lots of praise for this machine.

    James,

I ran my 200DX on a 15 amp 120 volt circuit the other evening at the in laws. There were some fouton and bed frames needing repair. I really did not want the hassle of cleaning and tigging. I burned some 3/32 7014's on AC and the welds were sweet. My machine was lost w/o a TIG torch and argon, but she did a great job!!!

    cool

thanks all i thought it would be ok i just wasent shoure if it had stick as an after thought and i would do better with a buzz box. i'm glad to here it will do all great.
looks like i'll be looking into a cooler that means a little longer till i can use it though i thought about gettin the con. kit and upgrading to a cooler later but it seems like a wast of a lot of money on stuff ill end up shelving as soon as i get the cooler setup.

The sweetest arc I have used, This was verified with my neighborhood on site expert the "BOILERMAKER", I even had to go purchase 10LBS. of 7018 rods for him to weld some trailer stuff... It is a very fine unit that would be hard to match below 175 amps.. Duty starts to get short..

Man you will not need a seperate stick machine. That unit even has a dig control for arc force! It's all you need.
    Good choice!

I've burned a few rods with my D200DX and it seemed to do a very nice job. The arc is considerably different than that of my antique lincoln buzzbox. I much prefer the Dynasty's arc. I must have become and addict of the "inverter" arc already.

    stick welder with dyn200

i have already decided that i will be getting the dynasty200DX after my trip to canada
i was wondering if the dynasty dose a good job as a stick welder or if i should pick up a sepret stick machine.

i was thinking if i dont need a seperate stic welder maybe i could swing a watter coller for the dynasty insted of a buzz box.

has anyone used a dyn. for stick ?

    thanks for the help
Working...
