Spoolguns are also nice for having a few small rolls of stainless around too.

    franz,

Stop by the shop and try out the 30A w/ the WC24 and you won't worry about getting the AL liner kit!!! Call me tomorrow if you have the opportunity and we'll set up a time. BTW: Can you get me your corporate fax #?

    franz,

WELCOME TO THE BOARD FROM Precison Welding Services

I have run larger diameter wires such as .045" up to 5/64" in a standard 10" gun with a steel liner (new and dedicated to Al) with good results keeping the gun cable straight. I am sure the Al kit would help as it is basically a teflon liner that lessens the pushing resistance of the wire against the liner walls to help avoid lodging and kinking. By the way, how is the 8RC and XMT combo working out?

    Alumininum MIG welding

Does anyone have any experience welding with a 10 foot MIG gun and the appropriate aluminum conversion kit offered in the Miller catalog?
