    I can't agree that it is the only difference. See dawg, we never almost agree!!
    The dynasty is multi voltage and phase and the Thermal is not. It also only goes to 150 hz instead of the dynasty's 250 hz high end. It is also closer to about $900.00 + difference on average.

      Scott,
      I think if you look carefully at my post, you'll see I was referring to the ongoing cost of powering the welder. The cost of the welder itself is, obviously, amortized over the lifespan of the unit.
