It's not the voltage that gets you, it's the amps.

Well so far I haven't been able to strike an arc yet, and school is not in the plans, I can't deal with the stress of it.

is, i would hold on to it..... i would also look into the local craft center ....or try to hook up with someone in you area (like tanner ) welding could really get you out of this FUNK that you are in........nothing besides a hot 21 y.o. chick cheers me up like laying down a sweet @## tig bead !!

if you would like to b.s. email me..... maybe i can help you out !

iso50, although I would like to offer you a price for your helmet I will not. (I have been saving for a while for a new one)

Hang on to it and try the welding thing. Just try one bead, never mind if it looks good but just try sparking it, try it with Tanner. Keep the helmet for at least a year before you sell it.

I was scared when I struck my first arc, in fact I think that I was sweating because of it. After I struck the arc I found out how easy it was and kept on going.

              Baby steps.

Yeah, Iso, I got back from talking to the welding teacher at the Jr High, and he said "you'd have to talk to so and so." So thats my goal next week. I'll figure it out, I know I will.

Its the same thing, you can never seem to be able to get to the right person the first time.

Exactly. I have to go to the department leader, and then the assistant principle, and then the principal. good thing all of them like me!

                      tanner/iso50

have you considerd meeting at your local welding dealer and trying a demo there.
if you are about to buy a 210 anyway you might like playing with it also
not to discount the school ideal but there is a lot for the school to overlook and concider in leting a non-student in the lab (insurance being the biggy)

as for the helmit keep it it rocks
i got to play with mine today and love it great performance even in low amp plasma (12A) cant wait to get my TIG setup i'm shoure lerning TIG with this helmit will be much easyer than with the old 1

totaly stoked after 1 day of play

striped my old riding mower down to the bone today cant wait to start the yard truck should get to use the new helmit lots in the frame building stage
                      thanks for the help

                        ISO DUDE!

I'll give you a free pass on this one. I'll be up in Wisconsin for a national sales meeting the week of Sept 22nd. The meeting doesn't start until Mon late afternoon. If you want to come to the Appleton Miller factory (bring your helmet) Monday morning, I'll give you a go around at the MILLER Training center where it would be just you and me. After that if you don't like it, don't do it. We'll start with Mig then touch on Stick and TIG. Just enough to get rid of any apprehension you may be hangin on to

Let me know...I have to book the training center.

                        Andy
