I don't know which video you mean; there isn't one with the student package and the one with the instructor package is weak from what I have heard.

    Thanks, COPE
That is something I think I will take advantage of...especially the TIG instruction manual since
I plan to take a TIG class later!!

    210 yes

the 210 is 1 of the welders on the list

as for giving away your coopon you should have used your recept from your 210 and sent it in, it said nothing about when you get or got the welder i got mine in Jan. and sent it yesterday.as an afterthought it might be werth getting a second student pack for a new coupon and having a set of books in the shop and in the house . i realy like whwt i have goten to read of my books and am thinking of another set for in the house as it seems anytime i get a chance to read i have to go to the shop to get it or come in out of the shop to get it at $25.00 i think i'll get another set to save me the walk

a 2nd jacket for the lil woman would get me a few "tool" points to boot

I believe it does. I gave my coupon away because I had no plans to buy a new welder. The 210 is what I bought.

    Iamberson,

Here is a copy of a post from the old format I had written in response to a similar question: Why not the Contractor's Kit??? If you want additional information, just shoot me an email through the forum or [email protected]

I hope this is what you want. It's not that late, but I am really tired - long story. Let me know. Thanks for the compliment.

    James,

Let me know when you are ready and I'll send you a list of my preferences. In short: I use the heavy duty foot pedal, made my own work lead (ground cable), Coolmate 4 with the Miller Diamond Back #20 250 amp water cooled torch. When you are ready I'll be gald to give you part numbers, etc. As for torches the Diamond Back #20 will do 90% of what I do and probably 100% for most folks. I have 6 torches each set up for a specific application. 3 are water cooled and 3 are air cooled. Don't under estimate an air cooled torch for portability and convenience.

Hey fun4now, I went with the coolmate 4 for portability only if I ever needed it. If did it over the 3 would have been just fine and a little cheaper.. I did go with the diamondback torch and am very happy with the choice.. I will purchase a aircooled unit in the near future for that portability issue and leave the coolmate sitting on it's stand were it probable will never leave from. The "BOILERMAKER" promised me a used CK unit he has in his work truck but I am not holding my breath , probably frosty refreshment talk . I really did not save that much money parting my set up rather than going with the contractor kit & spent a lot of time shopping, comparing, and then still going diomandback... Live and learn

    fun 4 now,

I am getting a set of the calculators just so I can see how much easier my learning could have been. Hopefully they will hit the shop my next week and I'll post again after trying them.
