    Thanks for the tips also. My TIG welding is comming alone very well i have seen a couple raises at work because it better.

    Get a good puddle started and begin adding filler. If it washes in too quick and spreads out too wide, try dropping back on the pedal a bit and see if the bead comes together nicer. It is technique rather than amperage or input wattage.

    Well it may be hot, but the ripples (freezr lines) are not all important except for looks. A smoother weld is a better weld if dye penetrant tested as there are no large freeze lines for the dye to hang onto. Good job.

    I was thinking it was about right, I will try to cool it off and have more ripples.

    You have to remember that i pick up my first TIG torch April 1 of this year so less then 4 month of TIG welding. The only time I gas welded was in high school.

    What you think of this tig weld

    A Friend of mine came buy and wanted me to TIG weld something. Well we went out to the shop and he pulls out some SS pipe with threads.

    I asked him why he wanted to have it welded and he said just wanted it welded. Well he was offering a 12 pack of beer.

    This is what it looked like all done and cleaned up a little what you all think.
