I am building a Front engine dragster chassis. I've set up my jig with holding clamps for the chromoly tubing to keep everything stable. My question is if I put four point tacks on all my joints can I remove the chassis from the jig to complete the welding process so I don't have to stand on my head or play the equivalent of "Twister"

Front engine dragster? Why don't you just buy a rear engine dragster and run it in reverse? Kind of like a sports compact dragster with the big tire in front. LOL
Sorry couldn't resist?
I try and tack as much as as I can and get the diagonal braces, or "X bracing in if at all possible before doing any finish welding. When you weld you can weld a little on one side and then weld a little on the opposing tube to conteract the pulling or movement of the tube. Make the forces work with and agaisnt each other .Attached FilesDCRC

The 375 does well on thin stuff like cutting out floorboards. On thicker stuff it helps to have a fairly new tip. It could stand to be a little more powerful.
I've got the Motor Gaurd M-26 toilet paper type dryer on mine.DCRC
