251 vs 350P aluminum

Am I correct in thinking that my MM251 can be adapted to accept a push pull drive system to weld aluminum where the new 350 needs the XR system or 30A spool gun. Thanks

You can use either a 30-A spoolgun, or, with an adapter (part # 195161) a push-pull gun, on your 251. The 350/350P can also use the 30-A spoolgun or a push pull gun. The difference is, that the 350/350P does not need the Push-Pull adapter, that circuitry is built into that machine.

The 251 can be adapted to a push pull with an adapter module part # 195161. You still have to purchase a push/pull gun like the edge, Python, or XR pistol type gun. The 350 does not need the whole XR system just the gun assy. The 350 is a much cleaner set up. The push/pull module lists at $499.00
