  • Miller remote connection options,..

I have a Miller welder with a 14 and 17 remote connection pin-out and wish to use another MIG gun that has only a 4 pin-out connection.
Is there a Miller OEM pig-tail to go between the two connections or does one fabricate/splice one together-Any cost-effective suggestions/diagrams/comments always appreciated-TIA

    Bill,

Have to be a little more specific....

What model machine? I assume it's a Maxtron or some inverter.
What model and serial number spoolgun?

You may need an adapter box.

I am attempting to connect the 14 pin-out MIG gun to my older Miller 300 XMT CC/CV power unit with 14 pin-out and 17 pinout-You say I will be needing a weld control box at some additional cost $100-$200 ?

Do you have the control box for it?

The Spoolmatic 1 worked off a 35vdc power supply from the control box. The control box plugged into the 14 pin and ran off the 115vac supplied from the machine.
