    pepsiguy,

I've have never used one, but here is a link for some information. It looks like they sell around $1000.00 I don't know that I like using all wire sizes by only changing the tips. I am not an engineer, but have my doubts.

MKs mark in this industry is in their wire feed systems.Spool guns, Push Pulls, ect. You can count on MK being the best & most expencive.

Their orbital line is also excellent. They aquired System Technica and the engineer that developed the Viper weld heads for Hobart.

        Prince XL

Yes the Prince XL is a good spoolgun. I have been selling them for ten years. And changing wire size with just the contact tip does work, it has for 37 years. It sells for $1250.00 new. I would not go above $500.00 for a used one.

Thanks for the input. I ended up losing the auction. HOWEVER...I found a Beta Mig 200 with spoolgun near me and ended up getting that instead. It's older and probably not as good as the Prince, but it should be fine for my home garage. Especially since the total cost for welder and spoolgun was $250 less than just the spoolgun and control box would have cost me

That is a good buy. The spoolgun is made by a company called CK Systematics. They are located in Mass. It has a very smooth arc for a single phase machine.
