Hey Cunning could you maybe describe what was wrong with the solenoids if you know? I am just curious to know if it is the same problem that I had with mine(broken screw). Thanks

This is what I think was wrong:
When the trigger is pressed the electrical solenoid activates and pulls a piston inside that releases gas. When the trigger is released, the piston is supposed to be pushed back by a spring to stop the gas. Something is not right about the defective units that will not allow it to seat the piston back. Maybe it might be a weak spring or poor machining. The solenoids would stick open and would only shut close when i tap them with my finger. I could not see anything phsycally wrong with them even when I took them apart. There were no broken screws on my units.
BTW, both solenoids were defective on my new welder. The spoolgun and regular gun uses the same model solenoid. I tested them by interchanging them. Good thing I tested both because I plan to get the spoolgun for aluminum in the future.
Hope this helps.

Yet you don't seem to mind when there are words like "CRAP" doled out from time to time. Seems to me like your priorities need to shift from you minding his language to you minding your own.

I'm kinda hesitant about this post, because I think the horse is dead, for sure. Anyway, on the issue of respect, I too feel that for the members of this forum. While the handle chosen by the gent from B.C. is inoffensive of itself, it seems the connotation read into it by some my be offensive. IMHO, that's a personal problem. As a weldor and contributor, he gets my respect until he proves to be unworthy of it. Being clever ain't all bad, folks.
Be well.

Miller 210 valve problem
Yes, I just bought one and brought it home. stuck an arc and let off the trigger, gas kept flowing. I thought , this is just my luck to have a brand new machine with a bad valve. Called shop where I bought it, service guy said yes I have a service bulliten to replace both valves. Only thing I was a little ticked over was why didn't they replace them before I carried it home. They didn't even have any on hand but had to order them. They were pretty nice though and told me the next bottle of gas was on them.
