  • Cutting Chrome Steel Bumper w/Plasma

I would like to cut to 4" holes in a rear steel chrome bumper to insert custom backup lights. The Bumper is .1500" thick. Will the Plasma destroy the chrome out from the cut hole ? How Far ? Any tips to get as little chrome damage as possible.

    Thanks
    Paul

I cant think of any way to cut a hole in any chrome piece that wouldn`t lead to rust forming later on down the road. You can purchase bolt-on brackets and 4inch back-up lights at any truck stop.
I suppose if you need them in the bumper a hole saw would do the least damage.

    Hope this helps..........Mike

      Paul:
A 4" hole saw would be my choice, chromium isn't good for you so don't use then plasma, burning chrome is a bad thing.
