  • First TIG welding ever

    Hey all,
    Just got back from my highschool where the welding teacher taught me some tig welding. I LOVE it. It's so fun! I can't wait to get mine. Of course, I used a Miller! Syncrowave 250. Wonderful machine.

    Tanner:
    I did some SS in tig this week for the first time and had fun with it also. I am very new to tig and have signed up for a class for the fall semester, looks like fun if that eye hand coordination thing will cooperate, haha!
    Peace;

      I had my chance at TIG a few months back (before my MM210 arrived) and I really enjoyed it. I was able to play with a 180DX and I was really excited and pleased with it all. I thought all I would ever want was my MM210 with the spoolgun but I was wrong.

        Tanner,

        Keep up the learning and welding. You are fortunate to get such an early start! How's the bike business?

          Good luck guys and always remember, Tig welding is all about practice. This forum has a great bunch of knowlege and tips to help you but it all still boils down to practice and more practice. Just don't get discouraged. Things like time of day, mental attitude, feeling rushed, all play a part in becoming an accomplished Tigger. Don't be afraid to walk away from it an take a break. Many times you'll find it'll all fall into place when you come back. Good luck.
