MM 135 for ANDY

The MM 135 questions keep on coming.
Previously I bought a MM 135 and decided to return it and go with the 12RC to go with my Trailblazer. Have yet to take the MM 135 out of the box, been here 2 weeks, as I keep wanting to keep it. My reason is I had a "red" 100 when I had my transmission shop and it was a most valuable asset, even though I had the Vintage. Portablity
and set up (used only flux core) was the issue. We used the 110 unit "ONLY" for non critical welds.
MY POINT: The 110v units are great for what they were designed to do. So I have finally decided to keep it and am fortunate enough to still buy the 12RC from BR Welders.
So buy the end of the month my inventory will be:
MM 135- flux only
MM 175- for thin material
MM- Vintage- thick material
MM- Synchr 250 fot Mig
MM- Trailblazer 280NT/Spoolmate 30A
Thermal Plasma

I know your post is directed to Andy and am sure he will respond. I want to share a similar experience with you. I once owned a Linclon 135 120 VAC mig welder. I sold the machine and added some extra money to get the Thermal Arc Fabricator 250. Even though I had a 250 amp machine I really missed having my little 135 to haul around the shop when I really needed it. It ran great on gas shielded .023"
wire and ran a pretty bead. I really liked it for uphill verticals on 1/8" x 1" flatbar. I share your concern and desire to keep the Miller MM135. I think you are making a fine choice and should be abe to accomplish anything you want with the equipment you have listed.

Different topic. The Thermal Arc Fabricator 250 was junk! The Thermal Dynamics plasma machines are okay. If yours does the job, then keep it. If you need an upgrade the Miller 2050 is a fantastic machine. By the way you never did answer if your Syncrowave 250 had the analog or digital display. I know someone who wants to buy one of the older analog display units if you are considering selling or upgrading.

You have been such am inspiration to me, as well as many on this board. So thanks from all of us.
I intend to get the MM 2050 within the next 60 days and feel I will be complete as possible. The Thermal Arc is junk, just the appearance is "not right", if you know what I mean.

Yes, the Syncro has "analog meters". As I have said before this machine does not have more than 50 hrs and closer to 20 hours. I used it in Phoenix for about 2 weeks then it went into storage, along with the "coolmate" cooler. I honestly could say it is "brand new". Have no idea what to ask for it, but would like to sell it and get a 200DX. Complete with cooler, I want to say I gave around $3000.
Really after thinking 50 hrs is way too much as I never did go through more than "3" tungstens.
If you wish I will get the serial number today and post it. Not a scratch on it either.

Post the serial number if you don't mind. I think I have buyer for your machine. Then you can step up to the D200DX or if you like.

Serial number is KH503531, making it in 1997, I believe.
Checking back on my records, have never refilled the argon bottle for this machine. This is how little it was used.

May go ahead advertise it so I can get the Dynasty.

Once you get the Dynasty and the 2050...You will be the envy of the board. There should be nothing you can't do! Even now you have a collection of units that would suit any welding business. I know some small shops around here that don't even have what you do! Your Syncro was made in '97 and still sounds adequate for your needs unless you would like the portability of the Dynasty 200? Are you thinking on just selling the Sync and keeping the cooler and torch?

Cooler, torch came with Sync and all is like new,seriously. Willing to bet there is not another available with so few hours, hours is overstating. Will sell all or part. Guess I could use the cooler and water cooled torch on the Dynasty . Right?

You can use the cooler and torch with the Dynasty. You will only need a water cooled dinse adapter for the torch. You might consider selling the entire package to get more money and reinvest in a Coolmate 3 or 4 and a torch, regulator, amptrol, etc, for the Dynasty. I think your Syncro250 will be easier to sell as a package. You might even use the D200DX with an air cooled torch though I prefer and use the Diamond Back # 20 ( DB20M25R ) and a Coolmate 4 with my D200DX.
