  • Odd wire for mig

Does anyone sell the less frequently used fillers for mig in 1# spools, Ni99 and flux cored SS. I do some repair work and it would be nice to do with my mm210 instead of running to a friends shop to do it in stick. Not a lot of work, but flexibility in a pinch is a good feeling. I just need more space for equipment, sort of wall to wall now. This would expand abilities without having to move something outside.

    PJ,

    Hope all is well!

The odd ball stuff will be expensive but still may be cheaper than an 8 or 12 roll. What wire size are you looking for? I have a source that can get us a price.

Andy: I think .035 or .030 will be the easiest since I plan for repairs mostly. If I get into anything that requires alot of SS I'll go tri mix and be done with it, or buy into upper level technology against my wife's better wishes.

      Thanks for the quick response.

Andy: have you gotten a price for the high nickle welding wire and or stainless flux core?

          pjseaman,
I'd also be interested in the small spools of Ni99 and SS flux-core, if you would pass on the info from Andy!! Thanks in advance.

              Andy:

This is no big rush I work on a pro4 race team and occasionally we need to fix really old pinto parts that are rare. This is the ounce of prevention vs pounds of cure, AKA if I've got it I'll never need it.

This is a car that runs 17 second laps at a 3/8 mile dirt track, needless to say sometimes things break that is why Ni99 is always around. The 2000cc pinto engine makes over 270hp, so it tends to be a little hard on things extracted from stock pintos ya never know what might break. The team might switch to a full late model this year or wait another year can't tell yet. Last year 11 feature wins out of 14 entered. If we buy the late model then I go looking for a tig machine for fun and games, but for now mm210 is awesome, love that Al

              Peace

                pjs,

Sounds like a killer ride! 270 from a pinto motor is ton with that light of a car! You'll like the late models... We run the 1/2 mile Concord track at 16.5s and a 3100lb car. Makes for a dizzy evening

                Have fun!

                  Andy:

The pro4 weighs in at 1675 w/ driver. 9000 rpm and the driver has nerves of steel. Seems that factory 4 speed transmissions just don't hold the power all that well, we broke two last year. Might be time for a richmond or change classes which would be my preferance.

                  Be safe,
