Hello, I had a question about welding certification. I'm currently ASME certified at the factory I work at but if I start my own business with a rig doing structural welding do I need a different test. I work on pressure vessels for the oil and gas industry at work and was wondering if that covered me for my own business at home

Talk to the company that does your testing and ask if they will also do your structural test.
