anchoring hand rail to cement

    I'm worried about the concrete breaking toorigh now I have only two hole per pad but the guy told me this morning he would like 4 holes per pad .now that got me thinkin the cement will give way and break.

      After reading through this, would it be an option to add a pipe or the same type material as the hand rails are made of under the square plate and then core drill the concrete and anchor with por rock or hydraulic cement. Forget using your pre-drilled holes. Just another thought.

        As portable welder said, use a hammer drill, not a roto hammer. They have more frequent blows per minute with less force per blow. Perfect for drilling countertops, tile, or in this case fragile Crete.
