welder trouble

Hi , New to the forums , looking for help with my miller 212 autoset . it shut off between weldsno power light or diagnostic code . would not restart until unplugged . welded about 3 - 2 inch segments and the same thing happened . does anyone know what is happening?OK. Tried again today , after sitting overnight . welded about 12" of 1/4" bead after stopping to check it out it clicked and powered down . after a minute wait I switched it onit lit up and powered down again , the power light just fade away. any ideas. I know it doesn't sound like something simple.

Your gun is damaged , likely in the torch handle. trigger wire is shorting to the internal conduit. Try the machine by removong the gun trigger harness from the machine, and jumper it ith a piece of mig wire.
