  • RENE 142 wire

Purchased some used welding gear and included was a 9 pound spool of .045” Polymet RENE 142 (PMet 842) wire.

Appears the alloy is used for repair of turbine blades, but Google searching did not find much info on the product.

Anyone familiar with this product and know of other general welding uses for the wire?

    Thanks
