It used to be OK but they changed the formula

you have a fair sized investment in the welder & cooler... why not buy TIG coolant..?? and protect your investment..??

You might do search... there are many threads on it
Yea I know, it's not an optimal solution (pun intended, lol). It was just one of those "darn haven't changed my coolant in a year" sorta thing, hence why I just went with it. Gonna order some TIG coolant from Zoro, they have pretty good pricing on the Miller coolant.

Have you tried buying just the coolant from them? You can't. Not without buying something else, lol.

I don't have a water cooled torch, but it would seem that the water cooler can't possibly take that much product. How much does the standard size one hold? I'll eventually spring for one, but not this week, that's for sure.

Save $25.00 to risk a $$$$ machine. I just really don't see the point. It's not like you have to buy it every month.

started a topic water cooled tig solution

    water cooled tig solution

Besides millers solutions what else can be used safely in reservoir, have been told dis water mixed with propylene glycol. The glycol I am talking about is envir. safe and we use in heating systems, thanks I am new to this sorry if this is a dumb question. Just cant see spending $25 dollars a gallon if something else will work just as well also heard RV antifreeze. I also plan on taking tig torch inside during the winter months and draining the coolant tank gain thanks.
Working...
