What wire gauge and fuse protection you would recommend for 220 volt single phase for this welder trouble with AC it is fused 60 amp with 100 amp breaker. It looks like it calls out for 125 breaker not sure on the fuse requirements.

You are correct on the Fuse/Breaker need for this machine to operate at rated output

125amp Fuse or Circuit Breaker on #6 wire if all wiring is done are per NEC Art.630


I know some folks run it at lower output on a 50amp breaker & #6 wire.

The National Electrical Code allows smaller wires, relative to the breaker, for dedicated welder outlets, on the premise that you cannot run the welder at 100% power 100% of the time. Obviously in real world welding, you stop to change rods, or take a break, or look at your work, etc. And very few welders are rated for 100% duty cycle at 100% power, they will overheat and shut down. If you are going to use the outlet for other things as well, you will have to use much larger wire.

I purchased mine and without doing my homework....bottom line it cost me more money to get set up right. i.e. breaker panel, breakers,but now I'm in the drivers seat lol!

These big welders draw a lot of power(amps), so I recommend anyone that's thinking of buying this machine . To check what they need to run it...
