Is it possible to run two TIG torches off one machine? I have to make two small precise spot welds on one part and moving the torch or the fixture is impractical. The welds do not have to be simultaneous but speed/cycle time is important so changing torches with something like Versa TIG is also impractical. Maybe the only answer is two machines? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

The Versatig is kinda pricey... nice but expensive..

could you give us a little more info..?? maybe some pics and amperages .. material to be welded..? etc...

these days there are many torches with a very wide amperage range while keeping a 20 series form factor... maybe one torch could provide both services
for instance my Dynasty 350 came with a Weldcraft 320 .. ( HW20 series small size)

for those unfamiliar with the Versatig.. here is a pic..

I don't see why not. Maybe 2 torches with a thumb valve so the gas doesn't come out of both at the same time. Just make up a connector/splitter that fits your machine...Bob

          Yup... It sure does..

Chris Razor of Hi-Tech Welding discusses independent amperage, balance and frequency settings on his Dynasty 350, as well as the ability to select a triangul...
