    I agree, you probably popped a diode - I've had it happen and it can put your machine on full load that's why your breaker tripped.

    Test to find the bad one - cheapest I found them was on ebay from a place that sells them for DIY wind power.

    My first guess would be a couple of bad diodes. They usually seem to go bad in pairs. You might also have some bad capacitors- the big ones.

    problem with my dialarc 250 ac/dc

    I have a dialarc 250 ac/dc with hf that will blow fuses on startup. I've been using this machine for the odd small job for a couple years now. I was just welding the other day for about half an hour when my welder started making a louder buzzing noise and blew a fuse. I replaced the fuse and same thing happened right when I started it up.

    What would likely be wrong with it? Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!
