Good to know! I'm from south Texas too. Granted I don't own a blue machine yet, I'd like to own one in the future.

Welding House is another welding supply company here in south texas and they were the only ones that said they would check it out. It appears they have there own in house service tech for welding machines.
the other company that i am considering for board repair is IEC or EIC out of Georgia. I got that name from reading one of the threads here. i called them up and they said there is no charge for checking/testing boards. However, if something is wrong then they call you with estimate before working on board.

I'm sure it would be a great help to other board members if you mentioned which companies you have helping you out.

Well i did talk to another company and i decided to let them test it out. They will call me sometime next week with diagnosis. if it is some bad boards then i found another company that repairs them. if quote is too high then i will send boards of and see what happens.

Diagnosis found bad main board and some others to a tune of $2300 repair.
It will sit in the corner until I have the time to make a beer cooler out of it.

After swapping plugs and testing other machines and they worked fine i started to pay more attention to machine when flipping machine to on position. i can hear some crackling on the right side of the machine if stand in front. i decide to take the cover off and i hear a humming and crackling from the board (233146E) that sits on the bottom right side of the machine. i also noticed the there are two capacitors right behind it maybe one of those is bad. i cannot read any codes off the machines since machine display does not turn on.
i am south texas and i have talked to praxair and airgas and they both will not send units in for repair if i did not purchase equipment directly from them. Now i am wondering in what direction to take. after lots of searching i did find a company that will check the machine but got to send and pay for shipping. also got to pay 200 bucks for diagnosis fee.
