ok guys i have a miller dynasty 350 mc200302L that we used for welding aluminum and stainless steel pipe. Machine worked great up until we stop using it a few months ago. Got a small job to do for a friend turn the switch to on and nothing happened. I tried toggling the switch and then the plug and there is no life in my dynasty. After swapping plugs and testing other machines and they worked fine i started to pay more attention to machine when flipping machine to on position. i can hear some crackling on the right side of the machine if stand in front. i decide to take the cover off and i hear a humming and crackling from the board (233146E) that sits on the bottom right side of the machine. i also noticed the there are two capacitors right behind it maybe one of those is bad. i cannot read any codes off the machines since machine display does not turn on.
i am south texas and i have talked to praxair and airgas and they both will not send units in for repair if i did not purchase equipment directly from them. Now i am wondering in what direction to take. after lots of searching i did find a company that will check the machine but got to send and pay for shipping. also got to pay 200 bucks for diagnosis fee.
