need help finding parts

my contactor seems to have died after 7 years of welding I have a thermadyne hefty 2 the serial number is mo8051601035 the part number inside the box is 100035a-001 I have been looking online but haven't been able to find a place that sells replacement parts if any of you guys know about a place please let me know. been having to stick it for 3 weeks now because my box died .

You might try Grainger. While not a welding supply, they do have an extensive line of contactors.

Pics would help a bit, a contactor is not a very sophisticated part, have the coil voltage and the contact rating, then you can get an equivalent from most electrical or hvac supplier. As long as the size fits your enclosure.

+1.... pics would help a lot.. also specs likely marked on the contactor..

on many older welders these are an over the counter part.. on some like the MM200 they used a magnetic motor starter...

Guys, not even close, this unit is a across the arc model. It uses a special but common single pull contactor, all brands use the same type. If you were to pull up any Miller VS suitcase, that contactor will be listed. Then just go to www.miller4less.com to order it.

That big thing looks like a 50 mt delco starter solenoid might be totally different too.

sorry I got tied up on the job I came across a deal a guy had two hefty boxes one with a blown contactor in it like mine and the other was brand new just out the box I got both boxes for 150.00 the new one was crashed by a forklift just minutes after taking it out the box and setting it up I stripped it of all the parts that I could . everything in it was good except the drive motor the mounting bracket on the motor was cracked off but I did get the new contactor new gas solenoid and both new boards out of it. well I got one board the other board was pop riveted to the main frame so I left it in there and put the whole box on a shelf in my spare room.i did how ever find esab makes a direct replacement contactor for the hefty's but at a nice price of 300.00. I will try grainger and the hvac places like you guys posted because I do plan on repairing the older box to have as a spare. I was also offered a miller mig box for 200.00 it looked brand new but the guy quit the day after we talked so couldn't bet back with him on that deal it was probably hot anyways .

back down again for the 3rd time I swapped out contactor and put in a new board out of the parts box .it welded fine in my shop and also welded fine on my tailgate of my truck welded with it for more than an hour no problems.so I figured it was good to go so I took it back to the job site and within 15 minutes bam no power to the wire the roller drives work like they should but the wire isn't hot had the other board so I put it in same thing welded fine at shop but within minutes bam no power to the wire.i only use it on my personal bobcat so I can rule out the problem of another machine sending to much current or whatever to the box. they have some electricians doing some work on the boat so I asked them if there was any kinda of back feed or what ever you call it .I told them what happened to my box so they checked and said yes there is a small back feed current but nothing real major. they told me they have been on boats that had way more backfeed than this one. am I missing something is there something else in the box that can be causeing this?i surely don't wanna buy another board only to fry it too.

Obviously the board is working, perhaps put your machine in high idle, as your low idle may be too low, that or something is miswired in the box.
