while the mm135 and mm175 share the same chassis and even manual.... the transformer, inductor, and control board are all different... would take major expensive surgery to make the conversion to 230volts..I would not consider it a viable option... here is a link to the manual and you can see for yourself
If it is possible to rebuild the MM135 for 220VAC wiring as H80N may be hinting, I believe a new purchase of the MM175 would probably be cheaper. Henry Ford once said something to this effect: "if you buy the parts, then I'll give you the truck".
If you are looking for a 220VAC mig machine in the end, check out the MM210. It's a fine piece of equipment.
Hawk is right on the mm210 is what I use and it is fantastic, High amperage and long duty cycle. In fact it will out work me, even on heavier stocks. Check it out I think you might like it.
