Another dialarc question

Just to control open circuit voltage. soooo, what ever its data plate says for OCV, set the resistor to match

Just a quick question i found my slide resistor(R3) was bad on my dialarc 250 hf so I bought a new one but what or how do I set this resistor to. The serial number is JE742058. I figured it would be set from factory but apparently it's not. It's the last piece of the puzzle to get the hf start finally functioning
