  • Miller 211 problems

Has anyone had their 211 circuit board fry on them? My welder is only about 4 months old and have maybe used it 5 times. Thank God for warranty but this shouldn't happen to a 1500 machine!!

I know it's upsetting when something like that happens. But is does happen and more than you would think. Gotta love those electronics. Doesn't matter the color either, nor does it matter whether it's a welder or not.

Yep it happens. It did the same thing on mine back in 2009. Just a week old and zap.. Miller will make it right...

In the electronics world, this would be considered infant mortality. Electronic failures typically have a bathtub curve, so high at first, then low, and then, after many months or years, the failure rate starts to increase.

If it happens again, that would suggest power problems in your shop. But I bet that the new board will run happily.
