  • Maxstar CST 280 & wire feeder

I have a Miller Maxstar CST 280 that I only use for stick, mainly because I don't have a tig torch, but I also have a Millermatic 130 but it aint powerful enough for me, I need more penetration and it just doesn't cut it. So my real question is, is there any way I can run a wire feeder off of my maxstar? It's got the amps I need and it's what we use at work but they're hooked up to deltaweld 451's. I'd just like to know if a feeder would be compatible with my CST 280.

Only with a VS feeder and only with non critical work with dual shield wire.
