insulating sa200?

Hey all I'm in the process of fixing up and building a skid unit for an old SA 200 gas machine. I'm just wondering if I need to somehow insulate the machine from the skid frame as I'll be putting a work surface on the skid. Will this interfere with the machine? Thanks in advance
