Installing a pulse functions on my SW250DX

I'm interested in upgrading my syncrowave 250 DX with the pulse functions. The machine face has all the spots for the dials and buttons but there isn't anything in the spots except plugs. They (miller techs) say the machine is too old but I'm having a hard time believing that. It's only 8 years oldish.
