  • Fused wire at liner

We have had our miller for about a year now and haven't used it much over winter but had it out this weekend building a 3x5 lawn cart trailer for the mower. During welding two times the wire stopped feeding mid stream and it was fused to the liner back in the machine as it enters(see photo attached). Can someone tell me what is wrong or what I am doing wrong. We have not had any issues with this machine prior to this.

Check the spool of wire. If the end of the wire on the spool was bent on the back side it may short out on the welders frame and cause your problem. Just remove the spool and look at the back side.
