Looking over the location of the new shop and discovered that it will be quite a ways from the house and the electrical panel..so I am thinking of getting a generator..Has anyone had any experience with driving a dynasty 2000 with a generator..I see the plasma cutters are rated for that sort of thing but did not see that addressed in the catalogue..??

How big..I am hoping something in the 5-6 kw size would do the deed..

I know more stuff for Grampa's Christmas list..;>)

BTW..since this is a small shop..just run one thing at a time so the generator would not have to be all that big..I think??

    Grampa
Grampa has done so much with so little now I do everything with nothing..;>)

    Gpa,

The Dynasty works fine off a generator. I have the Trailblazer but a Bobcat would be cheaper if you are looking mostly for Aux power. I have never tried it on the Bluestar 6000. The Dynasty at worst will draw about 5kw so the Bluestar 6000 should do it. But you can never have too much Aux power
