Welding Hood - Another brand

Anyone have first hand experience with the Lincoln Viking series 2450 or 3350 hoods with the 1/1/1/1 rating for optical clarity?

I have the 2450. I've only used it for DC TIG so far. The view through the lens is very clear and defined. The shading is very consistent across the entire lens. I am not real fond of the head gear. The head gear looks similar to what the Miller has on their Digital Performance and Elite series helmets.

I have the Miller Elite, although it's probably at least 8 years old, the head gear isn't great either but not terrible. I'm very interested in the view thru this hood, thanks for the response.

How is the sensor response at low amps, say 20 and below?

I've used the helmet for low amp (20 or less) DC TIG with High freq arc start and lift arc start, and the lens has perform excellent. No arc flashes , and no flickering between light and darkened state.

The yellowish/yellow orange tint of the lens on the lower shade settings along with the consistency in the shading seems to give me a very clear view of the weld puddle and surrounding area for quite a ways out in all directions. When I was down around 20 amps or less last week I was using a shade setting of 8.

For TIG especially, I am not very fond of the green tint, of the Miller Elite and Performance series hoods I've ran. I also noticed inconsistency (light and dark regions) in the shading. I haven't ran the current digital Miller units though to know if they have a green tint and the same inconsistency in the shading.
