  • Apology long overdue

A number of years ago I purchased a Miller DVR2 from my LWS. It worked flawlessly for the first year then began having issues feeding the wire. I consulted with the service dept at Miller and didn’t get the results I was looking for (fix my welder over the phone). So I posted on this forum what a terrible experience I had with Miller service. Turns out it was my 15’ Bernard gun and all I needed was a new liner because I had put too much goop on the wire cleaner. I was a real A$$ for posting negative comments about the quality of their service department and their willingness to help me. For that reason I would like to offer my sincerest apology to the guys at the Miller service department. My latest acquisition was a Miller 180 Autoset that I had problems with, again no fault of the welding machine, well kind of. I was having issues with the “smooth start” feature that I still wish I could disable. Regardless of my ignorance the guys in service were stellar in their approach and willingness to assist me, so I offer my outstretched arm for a virtual handshake and say THANK YOU.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, Miller has been in business far longer than you have, they have very thick skin.

And by the way, you should spend a little time reading on Lincoln's website, they specifically recommend NOT adding any wire lubes or wipes, of any kind.
    Obviously, I'm just a hack-artist, you shouldn't be listening to anything I say .....

Good show. Too little of this done. If you have kids, grandkids, show 'em, tell 'em. The rest of society says what's important is to have an attitude.

Thumbs up. It's a greater man to admit when he is wrong and greater yet to right the wrong.
You will never go wrong by doing what is right.
        God Bless

It is important to have an attitude. It just needs to be the right attitude! I think you have the right attitude. It is easy to blame everyone else but hard to accept blame. So good on you!
