Any info on updates to the Millermatic 211?!?

I've been considering a Millermatic 211 for a while to replace my current 220v only machine. So I'm finally ready to bite the bullet, go to cyberweld to check out the current prices and see what specials exist, then I see the Millermatic 190. Hmm. The last I looked they only had a 180, so I clicked the link. That thing looks nice, but is still only 220V. Now I want to hold off on the 211 until I see when it will be updated to match the rest of the line. Any clues on when this is happening?!? I noticed there were no specials on the 211. That leads me to believe they aren't trying to dump them now to clear inventory. I want the 120/220V capability because not everywhere I need to weld has a 220 line. I'd love a Multimatic 200 with AC/DC TIG capability...

Oh come on. SOMEBODY on this page has to have an idea of when Miller is going to apply the "Millermatic 180 to Millermatic 190" and "Millermatic 140 to Millermatic 141" treatment to the Millermatic 211.

Yes...

Talked to someone in the know last week, and they did indicate it may be in the plans to "inverteratise" (is that a verb???) that particular model. If I were you, i would RUN to your LWS and buy the current model. Just sayin'... 20 years from now you might thank me.

Thanks for the update. Although it seems like the inverter machines are doing fairly well. Dang. I'll get on it one way or the other....

To me, i can only think of a few reasons to buy an inverter:
1) POWER CONSUMPTION
2) DIGITAL (SMOOTHER ARC / ADVANCED CONTROLS)
3) WEIGHT

So number 1 for me doesn't matter, at least not with a 211. On 220v its drawing around 25 amps. Most shops / garages with 220 service can handle that easy. Big whoop.
Number 2 with a 211 really isn't too important. You've got autoset, and most 211-type applications I'm not too worked up about a 'superior arc...blah blah blah'
Number 3- you gonna be picking it up all the time?

Now, the list of reasons NOT to buy an inverter are a little longer and I'm running out of time!

211 -- exceptional machine, best I own, BUT Lincoln is pushing pricing lower --- I'm in the market for a new TIG (don't care if it's red or blue) and waiting to see how the market evolves.
