Depends on your budget! The best is a Dynasty 200 DX. But they are pricey! I had a Lincoln Invertec 155. It was a good little welder. Tig and stick in a suitcase. Lift arc only. I don't know anything about the Chinese welders, so I can't give an opinion.

My advise would be to buy American, and then you would be assured of parts and service. Buy the best you can afford and never regret your decision!

I have a maxstar 150sth. Has hf start and a few pulse settings. Runs on 110 or 220. Weighs 11 pounds and is the size of a shoebox. Worst part is dragging a bottle around. I was out the door for less than 2k with a pedal, torch, a bunch of extra tungsten and torch stuff all brand new. I had a bottle and Flowmeter already. It is a nice little machine.

It doesn't have ac output but it is much cheaper than a dynasty. Would a dynasty be better? He l l yes. But for what I have to do it works great. I out a little extra aside for a 200dx here and there.

+1 on the Maxstar. In my opinion, no need to spend the extra $ on the AC functions of the Dynasty.

I use a Miller Maxstar 150 STL which is as good as it gets, I believe the STH model has pulse which would be the next step up which would be all you would ever need.

Buying a Dynasty would be a waste of money unless you also want to weld aluminum.
