  • Wireless foot pedal stopped working

Hi guys I have a dynasty 350 with a wireless foot pedal. Pedal stopped working tonight. The green light on the receiver turns on but there is no arc when the foot pedal is pressed. I changed the battery in the foot pedal but no change. I cycled the welder on and off but still no change. Any ideas on trouble shooting?

Did you try it with a wired foot pedal to eliminate or confirm the wireless as the problem?

I don't have another food pedal to try out. Cruiser i need to check and see, i didn't know it had batteries in the receiver. i would guess it gets its power from being plugged into the machine.

There are 3 AA Batteries in the foot control that are touted to have a service life of "Up To 250 Hours"......whatever that means... which in real life is probably far less...
I would replace them with some fresh Duracel or other top quality batteries .. then see if it wakes up..

It may have GLITCHED and lost it's "Pairing" program.. and need to be reprogrammed/paired with the reciever.. the instructions are in "Section 5-12. Programming A Foot Control"

Here is a link to the manual...

BTW.. the reciever draws power from the welder..

Lifes lessons..?.... IMHO...have a spare (wired) pedal ... would hate to be out of business for a couple of weeks because a pedal quit..

just as you have spare torches, colletts, cups... grinders..ADF helmet.. etc..

No batterys in the reciever, as above, it may have lost the pairing, easy fix though. My Cell, and my Ear piece have that problem sometimes.

I took the pedal apart and put it back together, it started working right away. I guess there is some lose wire/short in the pedal that taking it apart fixed. At least for now i know where the issues is if it happens again. thanks for everyones input.
