I have four welding machines, the youngest one I believe is about ten years old. The Dialarc 250 ac/dc I bought new last century. The Legend is an 87 model, well you get the picture.
A bud calls me over to look at something. It's a Spoolmatic 30A with thirty foot leads and I can have it for $600.00. I'm like a teenage male back stage at the Miss America contest, don't know where to start first.
Legend, too old, same with the Dialarc, and the Panasonic 261 Gunslinger doesn't have the amphenol connector, neither does the Lincoln 205 Invertec ac/dc.
According to my favoritest Miller tech, Jesse at American Tool in Plano Texas I can have the Dialarc half *** working the Spoolmatic for about a grand's worth of modifications, deal breaker.
I'm nervous about the Invertec because it doesn't have the best reputation and I have it working better than I had ever hoped for aluminum tig welding.
Legend is out. So the last option is the Panasonic, I was told Miller won't help and Panasonic's tech help is nonexistent. That's why I'm here. I'd PM Cruiser but I've probably soured that relationship with so many questions before. So, anyone have a wiring diagram a 66 yr old can understand to make the Spoolmatic and the Panasonic make my world a better place?
