Have you somehow bent the pins in the 14 pin plug on the pedal/hand control??

    if so... how bad??... pics??

depending on how severely bent... they might be straightened or the connector may need to be replaced...

No sir, They're not bent, they just don't line up. I'm trying to test the tig function of a millermatic 250. I just wanted to take the tig torch off my xmt 300 but the pins don't line up.

You have me somewhat confused... the Millermatic 250 has NO TIG function...that I know of..

are we talking about a Sync 250 Maybe??

could you post the serial number??

Sorry for the confusion ... but this is a millermatic 250 cv.dc arc welder/power source/wire feeder. I'm not sure when they made them. I was also wondering if it had a high frequency unit in it. Thanks again

            No "HF".....

not sure where you are trying to plug in your 14pin.... because the MM250 does not have one....

again... serial number would be most helpful...

That is a mig welder. The port your probably trying to plug into is the hook up for a spool gun. Not going to tig with it.

believe that is a 10pin..... no way it would align with the 14pin placement...

This welder has the 10 post receiver and the 14 post receiver on the front of the panel. I know it's confusing. I've never seen one like it either,.

Well you sure have me confused...

I can find no reference to a 14pin in the manuals for the MM250, MM250MP or MM250X

Again... the SERIAL NUMBER will clear up a lot...

That number crosses to a MM250X

Owner's Manual Search Results Model Name: MILLERMATIC 250X
                        Serial Number: KF954083

                        Made late 1995

maybe a pic of the front panel and connectors..??

Many thanks for the info. It's funny... even the owners manual didn't show anything about the 2 remote receivers on this welder.

                          Thanks for the help guys.

                            A longshot but....

Might be that somebody adapted a Lincoln 14pin to the welder...so that they could run an LN25..??
I seem to remember that they are "Clocked" in a different position so that the shell and insert are not placed the same... so not interchangeable.. but that would have to be checked and confirmed..

This is just a wild conjecture..

Cruizer would probably be able to shed more light on the facts of this...
